The Formulation Archive.
London, 2026 — Sornave Studio is an independent catalogue project based in the EC1 area. The studio documents body care formulations and daily supplement selections, reviewing each entry against a defined set of ingredient transparency standards.
The catalogue is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body. All selections are made through independent review.
How the archive began.
The Sornave archive began as a personal documentation project: a structured effort to record body care formulations and supplement routines encountered through independent sourcing channels in London. The initial focus was on ingredient clarity — whether a product's full composition was disclosed and whether the sourcing of principal components could be verified.
Over time, the archive expanded to include two distinct categories: body care formulations (creams, butters, lotions, and balms) and daily supplement routines (vitamin complexes and nutritional supplement ranges). Each category has its own set of review criteria, documented in the methodology section.
The studio is located in the EC1 area of London. The archiving process is carried out by a small independent selection team. Corrections and withdrawals are issued when new sourcing information warrants a revision to an existing entry.
Sornave Studio selects products under the following principles: each item in the catalogue is reviewed for ingredient transparency before listing, supplier documentation is requested where available, corrections are noted in the catalogue record, and the selection team discloses any commercial relationships that could influence inclusion.
Four principles that govern the catalogue.
Ingredient Transparency
Every item in the catalogue is reviewed for full ingredient disclosure. Products without complete ingredient lists are not listed. Where principal components cannot be sourced from documented suppliers, the entry is noted accordingly or withheld.
Independent Review
The selection process is independent of commercial relationships. The studio discloses any connection to listed brands. The catalogue is not a shop; it is a documented record of independently reviewed selections.
Supplier Documentation
Supplier documentation is requested for all catalogue entries. Where suppliers provide origin and quality documentation for principal ingredients, this is noted in the catalogue record. The studio does not make supplier documentation publicly available.
Corrections Policy
When new sourcing information warrants a revision to an existing entry, corrections are issued promptly. Withdrawn entries are noted in the catalogue log. The studio's records are maintained on a rolling basis.
“The catalogue records what the sourcing process actually finds — not what it is expected to find. An entry either meets the ingredient documentation standard or it does not.”
